Software Engineer – Site Reliability & Security

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer specialized in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and security to own the end‑to‑end reliability, performance, and protection of our critical payment and securities settlement platforms. You will work closely with infrastructure, development, and compliance teams to design resilient architectures and enforce robust security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive system architecture, understanding integration patterns across the technology stack.
• Design and implement monitoring frameworks, intelligent alerting, and incident response procedures.
• Set up, configure, and integrate applications with middleware components per architectural documentation.
• Partner with infrastructure teams to apply security hardening measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Design and execute application security testing, vulnerability assessments, and coordinate penetration testing.
• Conduct threat analysis, risk assessments, and systematic security reviews.
• Define SLOs and SLIs, implement automated reliability measurement systems.
• Monitor system health using observability tools and perform daily operational health assessments.
• Apply chaos engineering, disaster recovery planning, and performance optimization to improve resilience.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, providing expert support and rapid incident resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience with payments and securities settlement systems.
• At least 5 years in application support, operations, security, SRE, or solution architecture.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, frameworks, vulnerability assessment tools, and penetration testing methodologies.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns and integration technologies.
• Proficiency in application testing assessment and management.
• Familiarity with ICT governance policies and standards.
• Knowledge of service design principles and design‑thinking methods.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
