Software Lead (Full Stack)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Full‑Stack Engineer / Technical Consultant to lead technical discovery, architecture, and delivery for both greenfield development and legacy modernisation projects. You will collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions, champion quality engineering practices, and empower client teams to build strong end‑to‑end capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and architecture design for greenfield and legacy modernisation projects, including microservices, event‑driven architecture, API‑first design, and strangler patterns.
• Champion quality engineering through test strategies, code reviews, pair programming, TDD, refactoring and technical debt management.
• Develop production‑quality applications with strong test coverage and deploy using modern cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Define API contracts, integration patterns and conduct technical spikes or POCs to validate architecture decisions.
• Identify and communicate technical risks, trade‑offs and solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience covering the full development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, deployment and production operations.
• Proven experience enabling and coaching engineers through pairing, technical workshops, mentoring or knowledge sharing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to explain technical concepts and trade‑offs to non‑technical audiences.
