Software Tester Intern

About the role

The Software Tester intern joins the Tech Application Delivery - Quality Assurance team in BCS and reports to the Test Manager or Test Team Lead responsible for testing within the project. The intern works with business and technical units to define test objectives and carry out quality testing. The internship is full time and available to start between January and June 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain test specifications and test scripts (scope, scenarios, conditions, test cases, test data and traceability matrix) according to functional specifications and the timeline.
• Review test specifications, test scripts and test results.
• Execute test cases, regression tests and confirmation tests according to the test plan.
• Report test results and software defects or issues.
• Report status and progress regularly to the Test Lead or Manager.
• Carry out follow-up tests to confirm that defects are resolved and work with other teams to fix them.
• Keep project documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent field (3rd or final year).
• Good understanding of SDLC project implementation processes.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and black box testing (functional and non-functional).
• Availability to start the internship between January and June 2027, full time.

Required skills

• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices.
• Understanding of defect management processes and tools.
• Willingness to learn automation testing.
• Interest in or exposure to TestComplete and Selenium.
• Familiarity with test case design, execution, defect reporting and QA principles.
