Solution Sales Specialist – Business Development (SaaS)

About the role

We are seeking a Solution Sales Specialist to accelerate merchant acquisition for a leading digital payments provider. The position focuses on field sales, engaging SMEs and delivering SaaS‑based payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage and acquire new merchant accounts through prospecting, field visits and business development activities.
• Conduct face‑to‑face visits to retail, F&B and service establishments to generate opportunities.
• Build and maintain a sales pipeline via cold calling, walk‑ins, referrals and networking.
• Understand merchants’ challenges and recommend appropriate digital payment solutions.
• Deliver product demos and solution presentations, prepare proposals, negotiate pricing and close deals.
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, onboarding and activation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Implementation and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth onboarding.
• Maintain accurate records, forecasts and pipeline updates in the CRM system.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover new opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field.
• Proven experience in field sales, business development or merchant acquisition, preferably in B2B or SaaS environments.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Highly self‑driven, resilient and motivated to meet challenging targets.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of payment solutions, fintech and SaaS platforms.

• Competitive base salary (SGD 4,500‑5,000 per month) plus commission.
