About the role

This position sits at the intersection of technology, investments, and business transformation within a global investment firm. You will shape the design and evolution of critical platforms, turning complex business needs into scalable systems that support investment decisions and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture, integration, and scaling strategies for key business platforms across a modern technology landscape.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate complex problems into implementable solutions.
• Guide engineering teams on design direction without managing day‑to‑day delivery.
• Simplify and modernise existing systems to reduce complexity and improve performance.
• Make trade‑off decisions on speed vs scalability, build vs buy, and other design considerations.
• Identify gaps in the current technology landscape and propose better building and connectivity approaches.
• Influence adoption of new tools, patterns, and technologies while avoiding over‑engineering.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in architecture design.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering production‑grade systems.
• Strong understanding of modern application development, including APIs, cloud services, and integrations.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous, evolving environments.
• Background in environments where systems support revenue‑generating or critical business functions.
• Experience moving beyond pure engineering into strategic architecture.
