Solutions Associate - Client Solutions & Analytics

About the role

PIMCO, a global leader in active fixed income investing, is looking for an Associate to join its Client Solutions & Analytics group in Singapore. The group helps clients make better investment decisions by combining an understanding of their objectives with an analysis of market opportunities and risks. The Associate supports the group's Strategists in portfolio analysis, investment recommendations and custom presentation materials. Candidates with less experience, including recent graduates, will be considered at the Analyst level.

Key responsibilities

• Support Strategists in analysing client portfolios and building presentations that detail PIMCO's analysis and conclusions
• Run risk analytics, optimisations, economic scenario analyses and stress tests using proprietary software and external data sources
• Manage multiple simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines
• Maintain standard presentation materials through periodic updates
• Build an understanding of PIMCO investment strategies and their risks and benefits in different market environments
• Help monitor the group's project queue and operating metrics
• Collaborate with Account Management, Analytics and Product Strategy groups
• Carry out ad-hoc research projects and analyses

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related discipline
• 1-3 years of experience in investment management or investment consulting
• Strong investment knowledge across all asset classes, especially fixed income
• Preference for candidates with insurance and actuarial experience, particularly supporting portfolio solutions or liability-driven investment strategies

Required skills

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, highly detail oriented, self-starter with strong production orientation
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Team player able to collaborate with all levels of personnel
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; reasonable proficiency with Bloomberg, databases and other analytic tools preferred
• CFA designation or active status in the programme desired
