Sous Chef

About the role

We’re looking for a hands‑on and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and consistency, and lead the team during service.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and step in when they are away.
• Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service, ensuring dishes meet standards.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist with menu development, recipe testing and new dish roll‑outs.
• Manage food preparation, mise en place, stock levels, ordering and proper storage.
• Monitor food quality, portioning, wastage and enforce food safety SOPs.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff and work closely with front‑of‑house to ensure smooth service.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of kitchen experience, including senior or supervisory roles.
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, service flow and food safety standards.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast‑paced environment and work independently.
• Organised, responsible and detail‑oriented with a positive attitude.
• Passionate about food, menu development and continuous improvement.
