SRE L1 Support / Cloud Platform Operations Engineer

About the role

Bitdeer is seeking an SRE L1 Support / Cloud Platform Operations Engineer to monitor and maintain its GPU‑focused compute clusters. The role combines real‑time incident response, hardware triage, and on‑site data‑center tasks across multiple global sites.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor GPU cluster health, network status, storage systems and environmental sensors via centralized dashboards.
• Respond to alerts, execute runbooks for common incidents (GPU errors, link flaps, node failures, storage alerts).
• Perform hardware triage and remediation, including GPU resets, node drains/reboots, link reseating and BMC recovery.
• Collect diagnostic data for escalation (logs, DCGM output, network diagnostics, hardware health reports).
• Manage incident tickets from creation to resolution or escalation using ServiceNow or Jira.
• Carry out physical data‑center tasks such as cable installation, hardware swap‑outs, rack‑and‑stack, and labeling.
• Conduct structured shift handoffs and maintain operational runbooks.
• Assist with hardware deployment, firmware updates and inventory management under SME guidance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in NOC, data‑center operations or IT support.
• Basic Linux system administration, comfortable with command‑line, log analysis and service management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Nagios.
• Experience using ticketing platforms like ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
• Ability to perform physical hardware tasks (rack‑and‑stack, cabling, component replacement).
• Strong communication for shift handoffs and incident documentation.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts covering 8 AM‑8 PM PST.
