Platform Engineer – Machine Learning

About the role

As an ML Platform Engineer you will build and operate the infrastructure that powers A1’s AI‑native applications. You will work closely with AI engineers, researchers and product teams to turn models into reliable, scalable, and cost‑efficient production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate ML training, evaluation, deployment and inference platforms.
• Optimize model serving for high‑throughput, low‑latency workloads.
• Develop reproducible, observable, and maintainable ML pipelines for data preparation, training and continuous improvement.
• Implement monitoring, tracing and alerting for AI/ML workloads.
• Identify bottlenecks across the ML stack and continuously improve performance, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and product teams to translate evolving model requirements into production‑ready infrastructure.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production systems.
• Hands‑on experience building ML infrastructure, platforms or production machine‑learning systems.
• Understanding of distributed systems and system reliability.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production‑quality code.
• Comfortable working in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments and taking ownership of solutions.
