Staff/Lead LLM Data Scientist – Singapore

About the role

Agoda is looking for a senior data scientist to design, build, and own large‑language‑model (LLM) powered features that help travelers book flights, hotels, and activities in a seamless, all‑in‑one experience. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, product, and engineering, shaping real‑world AI systems that operate at Agoda scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and own end‑to‑end LLM systems, from intent understanding to multi‑step trip planning and booking.
• Translate open‑ended product problems into concrete ML solutions, balancing quality, latency, cost and reliability.
• Partner with product, engineering and leadership to make trade‑off decisions that directly influence user experience.
• Iterate quickly using production feedback, continuously improving system behavior at scale.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on data‑science experience, including modeling, feature engineering, statistics and experimentation.
• Experience building and operating production LLM systems (e.g., Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, tool/agent orchestration, context and memory management).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, comfortable working in open‑ended, evolving problem spaces.

Required skills

• Data Science techniques: modeling, feature engineering, statistical analysis, A/B testing.
• Production LLM system development: RAG, tool/agent orchestration, context and memory management.
• LLM evaluation, testing and iterative improvement.

What we offer

• Competitive compensation aligned to experience and impact.
• Full visa sponsorship and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
