Store Assistant – Retail Sales & Customer Service

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Store Assistant to join our retail team. The role involves helping customers find and purchase items, restocking shelves, and creating attractive merchandise displays. The successful candidate will be dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and driving sales.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in achieving store recruiting goals
• Operate cash registers and point‑of‑sale machines
• Drive store sales targets while meeting individual sales goals
• Maximize business potential by optimizing sales per department
• Monitor data quality in sales staff client books and propose action plans
• Facilitate staff training and new‑hire inductions
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the store fully stocked
• Receive and verify new shipments, ensuring correct quantity and quality
• Enforce in‑store security, health, and safety procedures

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Proven retail sales experience
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to use labeling and pricing equipment and POS software
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Exceptional customer service orientation
• Detail‑oriented with ability to work under pressure
• Availability to work evenings, holidays and weekends
