Strategic Planning and Business Execution Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting a Strategic Planning and Business Execution intern within its Global Corporate Banking Division, Asia - Customer Strategy & Analytics (GCBDA-CSA). The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and is based in Singapore. It is open to Singaporean and PR students only, and partners with several local universities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and strategy function for business initiatives such as balance sheet optimization, customer tiering and senior sponsorship programs.
• Carry out marketing support and reporting, including designing toolkits and templates, gathering branch information, analysing regional data, writing reports for management and preparing presentations.
• Strengthen business development by improving communication between branches, product offices and regional functions.
• Take part in the APAC governance framework for business promotion and first-line defence, including deal screening focused on profitability, efficient capital allocation and cross-sell opportunities.
• Analyse financial data, track regional portfolio data and propose improvements and action plans.
• Support the Business Intelligence and analytics team with data preparation and support, and provide insights on business strategy and market penetration as regional HQ.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the Corporate Banking portfolio, products and the wider industry.

Required profile

• Singaporean or PR student.
• Keen eye for detail, strong written and spoken English, and willingness to multi-task under tight deadlines.
• Growth mindset, self-starter, people and results oriented, with good initiative, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of another Asian language is useful because the role involves coordinating with regional partners.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Project, PowerPoint, Excel).
