Structure Design Engineer

About the role

The Structure Design Engineer will lead the structural scope of projects from design development through construction, ensuring design quality, buildability and compliance with Singapore regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural design from concept to construction stage.
• Review and coordinate structural drawings with architecture, M&E and specialist trades to minimise clashes.
• Provide value‑engineering proposals from tender through construction.
• Set up and control rebar ratio discipline in collaboration with the project manager and consultants.
• Act as the main liaison between design consultants and the construction team.
• Lead design coordination meetings and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Offer technical guidance on‑site to maintain design intent.
• Resolve discrepancies between design and site conditions.
• Oversee submission of shop drawings, material approvals and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate precast drawings, including PPVC, PBU and APCS.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in structural coordination or design for residential projects in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore building codes, BCA regulations and authority submission processes.
• Familiarity with precast and advanced construction methods.
• Excellent coordination, communication and leadership abilities.
