Student Management Officer – Punggol Secondary School

About the role

The Student Management Officer will join the student management team at Punggol Secondary School to lead investigations into student misconduct and deliver structured rehabilitation programmes. This full‑time position supports a safe, inclusive learning environment by working closely with teachers, counsellors and external agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fair, thorough investigations of student misconduct, including interviews with students, victims and witnesses.
• Document findings accurately, prepare investigation reports and present them to the discipline committee.
• Review CCTV footage, statements and other evidence while ensuring a trauma‑informed approach.
• Liaise with external bodies such as the Singapore Police Force, MSF or Child Protective Services when required.
• Develop and monitor rehabilitation plans for students needing additional guidance.

Required profile

• Diploma from a local polytechnic or equivalent, preferably in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with youth in schools, social services, law enforcement or community settings.
• At least 2 years of experience in investigations or case management.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage students, parents and staff.
• Capability to resolve disputes, manage emergencies and address safety concerns professionally.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships within a multidisciplinary team.
