Student Support Officer & Receptionist – Secondary School

About the role

This full‑time, onsite position combines student support duties with front‑desk reception responsibilities at a Ministry of Education secondary school near Bukit Gombak MRT. You will work closely with the Vice‑Principal, Assistant Principals, and school leaders to ensure smooth daily operations and effective student case management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Student Development Team with case management, including locating students in holding rooms, taking statements, and supervising detentions or in‑school suspensions.
• Support students with additional needs (SwANs) and help review CCTV footage for investigations.
• Maintain accurate records for the Case Management Team.
• Patrol school premises—including canteen, play areas, toilets, classrooms, and special rooms—to ensure safety and order.
• Provide logistical support for school events, chaperone student supporters, and assist during home‑based learning periods.
• Perform any other duties assigned by school leaders.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a school environment or a related field handling student management matters.
• Strong rapport‑building ability with teenagers and a genuine passion for youth development.
• Calm demeanor in volatile or fast‑paced situations.
