Supervisor & General Foreman (M&E)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Supervisor and General Foreman to lead the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) team in a high‑volume manufacturing environment. The role ensures that all M&E equipment is ready for production, maintains safety standards, and drives efficient maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare M&E equipment before casting starts and verify calibration of batching plants, load cells and weighing systems.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machines and moulds.
• Monitor power consumption, report on energy efficiency and ensure electrical safety, earthing and test certificates are current.
• Enforce site safety rules, conduct toolbox talks and perform risk assessments.
• Maintain equipment service logs, inspection records, breakdown reports and downtime analysis.
• Supervise M&E technicians and fitters, raise material and tool requests, and coordinate shutdowns with Production, QC and Project Managers.

Required profile

• Middle‑management experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to lead a team of technicians and fitters.
• Strong problem‑solving and reporting capabilities.

Required skills

• Calibration of batching plants, load cells and weighing systems.
• PLC basics and reading electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Experience with batching plant operations.
• Monitoring power usage and energy efficiency analysis.
• Electrical safety, earthing procedures and test certification management.
• Maintenance record keeping, equipment service logs and downtime analysis.
