Supplier Account Management - Technologist

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions for chips and advanced displays, is hiring a Supplier Account Management Technologist in Singapore. The role drives the Asia supply chain ecosystem, focusing on Built to Print commodities to support both volume production and quick-turn NPI needs.

Key responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with internal commodity teams to identify gaps in the Asia supply chain and drive capability enablement, technology transfer and the development of potential Asia suppliers.
• Provide technical leadership to internal and external team members and lead supplier development teams to meet project and program goals.
• Collaborate with external agencies to drive Singapore and Asia supply chain innovation.
• Develop project plans and oversee them from conception through implementation, defining objectives and agreed strategies, processes and resources.
• Manage schedules and tasks using project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists and scheduling software.
• Drive allocated resources from other organizations to achieve on-time, within-budget results.
• Provide engineering and business process expertise on complex programs and issues.

Required profile

• Recognized as the technical expert in their field, with in-depth or broad expertise in their discipline and knowledge of related disciplines.
• Able to lead projects with notable risk and complexity, developing the strategy for project execution.
• Solves complex problems with broad business impact and anticipates business and regulatory issues.
• Communicates complex ideas and persuades others, often at senior levels.
