Supply Chain Consultant (Junior)

About the role

We are looking for a junior‑level Supply Chain Consultant to support our purchasing and logistics operations in Singapore. You will collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams to ensure shipments are executed efficiently, costs are optimised, and customers receive excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Support export quotation activities and follow up on overseas freight quotes to secure timely shipments.
• Coordinate booking, shipment execution and on‑time delivery with logistics partners and internal teams.
• Negotiate ocean freight rates, local trucking charges, port handling fees and other logistics costs to meet cost‑reduction targets.
• Monitor logistics expenses, identify savings opportunities and contribute to supply‑chain cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders and logistics suppliers.
• Expand logistics supplier network and evaluate supplier performance.
• Assist purchase order processing, supplier communication and procurement documentation.
• Provide accurate logistics and financial data to sales and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare shipping cost analyses, procurement reports and operational data for management review.
• Handle customer inquiries on shipment schedules, delivery status and logistics arrangements.
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing and supply‑chain processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, International Trade, Business Administration or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics or international trade operations (fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome).
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
