System Engineer – Singapore Citizen Only

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Engineer to provide Level 2 operational support for mission‑critical applications and platform services in Singapore. The role involves troubleshooting incidents, managing deployments, and ensuring high availability of services while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Day 2 operational support, investigate and resolve production incidents, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Support application deployments, rollbacks, and post‑deployment verification.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, security scanning and deployments.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot containerised workloads using Docker, Podman and Kubernetes.
• Administer Linux and Windows environments, including patching, configuration and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor system health, application performance, logs and alerts to ensure service reliability.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity and project teams to drive operational excellence.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks and compliance artefacts.
• Participate in a 24/7 support roster, including standby and after‑hours duties.

Required profile

• Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, application or production support, system engineering or platform administration.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 support environment.

• Linux and Windows administration.
• CI/CD tools: GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Git.
• Container technologies: Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
• Scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell, Shell.
• Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, eG Enterprise.
• Application stacks: React, Node.js, Spring Boot.
• Databases: SQL, NoSQL.
• Additional experience (advantageous): SonarQube, VMware, Kafka, API integrations, HA/DR concepts, ITIL processes.
