About the role

The Systems Administrator II provides operational support for a team that manages large‑scale building management and physical security systems. Work is ticket‑driven, requiring systematic troubleshooting and coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot server and network hardware, including fiber/optic cables and optics.
  • Manage circuit move, add, change, and disconnect (MACD) orders throughout their lifecycle.
  • Coordinate local vendor technicians for server, circuit, and maintenance tasks.
  • Install and verify physical layer cabling according to cabling matrices.
  • Provide ongoing production‑environment support and liaise with vendors, system owners, and operations teams.
  • Track requests, generate weekly reports, and maintain documentation for each implementation.
  • Participate in on‑call rotation for ad‑hoc troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and improve server, circuit, and spares inventory databases.
  • Submit and manage remote‑hands and onsite technician requests.

Required profile

  • Minimum 2 years experience in datacenter or enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and equipment lifecycle processes.
  • Experience executing detailed Method‑of‑Procedure (MOP) documents and following technical instructions.
