Systems Administrator II

About the role

The Systems Administrator II provides operational support for a team that manages large‑scale building management and physical security systems. Work is ticket‑driven, requiring systematic resolution of issues and coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot server and network hardware, including fiber/optic cables and optics.
• Manage circuit move, add, change, and disconnect (MACD) orders throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate and execute vendor technician activities for servers, circuits, and maintenance.
• Install and verify physical layer cabling according to cabling matrices.
• Provide ongoing production‑environment support and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Track requests, generate weekly reports, and maintain implementation documentation.
• Maintain and improve server, circuit, and spares inventory databases.
• Create and monitor spares stock levels, raising requests when thresholds are met.
• Submit and manage remote‑hands and site‑audit requests.
• Use JIRA for ticket tracking and collaborate with SCM, equipment vendors, and datacenters.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in datacenter or enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and equipment lifecycle processes.
• Ability to follow detailed Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and technical instructions.
• Strong procedural and analytical skills for moderate‑scope problems.
