Systems & Cloud Engineer

About the role

Logicalis Asia Pacific, an AI-driven technology integrator with 7,000+ professionals across 30 territories, is hiring a Systems & Cloud Engineer. The role sits in a collaborative regional team and covers both project delivery and ongoing operations and managed services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, configure and deliver infrastructure and platform solutions based on approved designs and statements of work
• Build and deploy Linux environments (RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu), container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift), Azure and AWS infrastructure, and hybrid/on-premises solutions
• Partner with Project Managers to deliver projects on scope, schedule and delivery standards
• Produce project documentation such as design validation, implementation guides and as-built documentation
• Conduct knowledge transfer and handover to operations teams
• Provide operational support for production environments, ensuring stability, availability, performance and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across Linux, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Azure and on-prem infrastructure
• Own BAU activities: OS/platform patching, upgrades, backup and recovery validation, capacity and performance monitoring
• Drive continuous improvement through standardisation, automation and optimisation
• Take part in a 24x7 standby/on-call roster as required

Required profile

• Strong hands-on Linux administration experience (RHEL / Rocky / Ubuntu)
• Practical experience with containerisation or Kubernetes in production environments
• Experience supporting Azure and/or AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience in hybrid (on-premises and cloud) environments
• Ability to move between project delivery and operations/support work
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and documentation skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in customer-facing environments

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-code and automation experience (Terraform, Bicep/ARM, Ansible, GitOps)
• A security-first engineering mindset (OS hardening, least privilege, vulnerability remediation)
• Prior experience in Managed Services, MSP or systems integrator environments
• Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE/OpenShift Administrator, CKA/CKAD, or AZ-104 (preferred but not mandatory)
