About the role
The Tax Manager will lead tax compliance, reporting and planning for the Group’s entities in Singapore, the United Kingdom and Australia. This senior position works closely with Finance, Treasury and external advisors to ensure statutory compliance, optimise the Group’s tax position and provide strategic tax advice.
Key responsibilities
- Manage corporate income tax compliance for Singapore, UK and Australia entities, including preparation and review of tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Oversee GST, VAT and other indirect tax obligations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Review tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and disclosures for statutory financial statements, aligning with SGX reporting requirements.
- Monitor changes in tax laws across the three jurisdictions and recommend appropriate actions.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimise cash flow, foreign‑exchange exposure and the effective tax rate.
- Partner with Finance and Treasury on cross‑border transactions, funding structures and working‑capital optimisation from a tax perspective.
- Manage responses to tax audits and queries from IRAS, ATO and other regulators.
- Provide tax input for restructuring, M&A, intercompany arrangements and transfer‑pricing documentation.
- Liaise with external advisors, auditors and regulators to maintain strong governance.
- Strengthen internal controls for tax reporting and risk management and mentor finance team members.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional certification (CA, CPA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent).
- 7–10 years of tax experience with exposure to Singapore and Australian jurisdictions.
- Strong technical expertise in corporate income tax, indirect taxes and transfer pricing.
- Familiarity with SGX reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑entity, cross‑border tax matters.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, professional integrity and commercial acumen.
