Tax Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a senior overseas tax expert to help build a compliant global tax system for our rapidly expanding gaming business. The role focuses on managing tax matters for our international operations, monitoring policy changes, and providing actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and timely filing of corporate income tax, sales tax, withholding tax and other statutory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor B2C indirect tax legislation, assess revenue thresholds, manage VAT registration and ongoing compliance in each market.
• Act as primary contact for tax audits, inquiries and examinations by local tax authorities, handling documentation and dispute resolution.
• Continuously track changes in local tax legislation, treaties and enforcement practices; assess business impact and advise on structural or operational adjustments.
• Support transfer pricing documentation, ensure arm‑length standards for intercompany transactions.
• Identify tax optimisation opportunities within legal frameworks and deliver analysis reports to management.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, business teams and external advisors to integrate tax considerations into decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Taxation, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of cross‑border/international tax experience, including VAT/GST/Sales Tax.
• Proficient English for written and oral liaison; Mandarin a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple jurisdictions.
• Nice‑to‑have: ACCA, CPA, CTA or similar; exposure to digital services VAT, BEPS/Pillar Two, transfer pricing.

• Familiarity with finance and tax software systems.
