Team Leader, Inventory Controls

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Team Leader for Inventory Controls in its Singapore Life Sciences Solutions Group. The role combines leadership of an inventory control team with data‑analytics and digital transformation initiatives to optimise inventory accuracy and distribution efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of inventory control professionals, providing coaching, mentorship and performance management.
• Oversee daily inventory operations, including cycle counts, stock movements and reconciliation across the distribution facility.
• Drive data‑analytics initiatives by creating advanced reports, dashboards and predictive models using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Lead digital deployment projects, implementing RFID, barcode scanning systems and upgrades to inventory management software (SAP, Oracle).
• Collaborate with IT, Warehouse Operations, Finance and Quality teams to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions and compliance with ISO and QSR standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field (advanced degree acceptable).
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience supervising inventory or supply‑chain teams.
• Proven experience in inventory management, preferably within a regulated environment (ISO9001, ISO13485, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros).
• Data‑visualisation and BI tools: Power BI, Tableau.
• SQL or similar query language for data extraction.
• Inventory management systems such as SAP and Oracle.
• Digital inventory technologies: RFID, barcode scanning systems.
• Experience with predictive analytics or business‑intelligence reporting.
