Technical Business Analyst

About the role

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to support audit‑focused projects, working closely with clients to analyze freight rate agreements, shipment data, and business rules. This client‑facing role combines business analysis, project coordination, and data analysis to drive accurate processing and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret freight rate agreements and business rules to support configuration in internal systems.
• Work with large and complex datasets (shipment, invoice, and audit data) to identify trends, discrepancies, and insights.
• Gather, clarify, and document business and functional requirements from clients and stakeholders.
• Support project delivery by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and managing timelines and dependencies.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, handling queries, resolving issues, and providing consultative support.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem‑solving.
• Analyze processed data and provide tailored solutions, reports, and recommendations based on client needs.
• Facilitate training sessions for clients and external users on systems and services.
• Develop and maintain documentation including user guides, process flows, and requirement documents.
• Escalate and communicate key issues to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and client experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Business Analysis, client‑facing roles, or technical service environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• Hands‑on experience with data tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Exposure to project management or project coordination, with the ability to manage timelines and stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
