Technical Executive – School of Health and Social Sciences

About the role

The School of Health and Social Sciences is seeking a Technical Executive to ensure the smooth operation of its IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for routine equipment checks, software updates, and providing frontline technical support to staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance of IT hardware and update software across designated venues.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, software inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Identify shortages, manage equipment condemnation, and place replacement orders.
• Provide technical assistance to users, liaise with stakeholders to resolve issues, and support e‑assessment, cybersecurity, network, server, and peripheral maintenance.
• Assist the school’s IT team with ongoing projects, committee work, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Information Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or Power Automate; programming skills are a plus.
• Customer‑service orientation, motivated, resourceful, responsible, and a team player.
• Strong diagnostic, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
