Technical Officer - Simulation Training Equipment

About the role

The Technical Officer supports the planning, setup, operation and maintenance of simulation training equipment, systems and facilities within SIMTAC. The role provides technical support for simulation-based training programmes, manages simulation technologies, troubleshoots system issues, maintains records and documentation and works closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective training operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the setup and operation of simulation equipment and training environments for healthcare education programmes.
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain simulation systems, medical devices and related software.
• Provide technical support during training sessions, including simulation and debriefing activities.
• Collaborate with IT and Audio-Visual teams to optimise simulation and training systems.
• Maintain training records, equipment inventory and operational documentation.
• Support process improvements, data management and departmental projects.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience with healthcare simulation or AV systems is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated team player able to multitask and work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
