About the role
The Technical Support Chemist – Segregation will oversee daily waste receiving, unloading, segregation and distribution operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency. The role offers a sign‑on bonus and quarterly performance incentives. Based in Singapore, the position reports to the waste management team.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily waste receiving, unloading, segregation and distribution operations.
- Verify incoming waste, resolve discrepancies and coordinate treatment and storage arrangements.
- Review and improve operational workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce treatment costs.
- Develop treatment methods and handling procedures for new or unidentified waste.
- Conduct regular plant inspections and ensure compliance with 5S, TPM and safety standards.
- Supervise and train staff on safe waste handling, PPE requirements and risk assessments.
- Provide technical support during emergency response situations.
- Coordinate with EHS and other departments to ensure regulatory compliance and emergency preparedness.
