Technician - Global Engineering Labs

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a technician for its Global Engineering Labs. The role covers hands-on support of R&D equipment, from set-up and qualification through maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs, while working closely with functional teams and supporting customer requests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform R&D equipment set-up, qualifications, preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical problems in engineering lab equipment and rebuild or modify equipment as required.
• Keep records and documentation up to date in the equipment tracking system, and support equipment tracking and inventory controls.
• Respond to customer requests and prioritise them appropriately.
• Follow safety procedures and work rules, including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety, and operate and maintain equipment and tools in line with lab requirements and company guidelines.
• Support internal and external engineering lab audits.
• Collaborate with functional teams on equipment setup, qualification, modification, upgrades and repair, and foster cross-functional cooperation.
• Focus on customer needs and provide timely solutions.
• Use AI tools to improve productivity and identify automation opportunities for repetitive tasks.
