Technician - Global Engineering Labs

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc., a global leader in memory and storage solutions, is hiring a technician for its Global Engineering Labs. The role covers hands-on work on research and development equipment, from set-up and qualification to repairs and maintenance, in line with company safety rules.

Key responsibilities

• Perform R&D equipment set-up, qualifications, preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical problems in R&D equipment and rebuild or modify equipment as required.
• Keep records and documentation up to date in the equipment tracking system.
• Respond to customer requests and prioritise them appropriately.
• Follow safety procedures and work rules, including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools according to lab requirements and safety guidelines.
• Support internal and external engineering lab audits and handle engineering product tracking and inventory controls.
• Collaborate with functional teams on equipment setup, qualification, modification, upgrades and repair, and focus on timely solutions for customers.
