Technician I – Sterile Production Operations

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Technician I to join the Sterile Production team within the Filling department. You will work in a clean‑room environment to support the aseptic filling of ophthalmic products, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain sterile or clean conditions of rooms and equipment used for aseptic filling.
• Operate, monitor, and clean equipment associated with ophthalmic product filling, including steam sterilizers.
• Perform routine microbiological sampling for environmental and personnel monitoring.
• Prepare, verify, and transfer materials and components used in aseptic filling.
• Support validation activities related to cleaning and aseptic processes.
• Assist in investigating process deviations and contribute to productivity improvements.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Higher NITEC or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related pharmaceutical discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within pharmaceutical or cGMP settings.

Required skills

• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Experience with aseptic filling techniques.
• Proficiency in steam sterilization and equipment cleaning.
• Ability to conduct microbiological sampling and environmental monitoring.
• Understanding of validation procedures for cleaning and aseptic processes.
