Technician - MSB Assembly (NPI Execution)

About the role

Micron is looking for a Technician to support New Product Introduction (NPI) execution activities in the MSB Assembly cleanroom (CR1/CR2/CR3). The role ensures timely, safe and compliant execution of NPI builds, from lot release through AOut, by coordinating daily execution, tracking issues and supporting engineers, CEM, IPPC and manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily NPI lot execution across Assembly CR1/CR2/CR3 (die attach, wire bond, encapsulation, laser, singulation, etc.) and monitor lot status (WIP, holds, rework, conversion, disposition).
• Assist in expediting NPI lots to meet AOut, MAD, MCD and customer commitment dates, and track build readiness (materials, tooling, DID, recipes).
• Track tool readiness, conversion issues, process abnormalities, yield issues and holds, and update daily execution trackers, WIP lists and action logs.
• Escalate execution blockers promptly to responsible owners and coordinate with NPI/NPM engineers, process and equipment engineers, CEM, IPPC, planning and test teams.
• Update NPI build information in Omelek, ATPEA, SAP and internal trackers, and prepare basic reports and status updates for NPI reviews.
• Ensure compliance with MSB Assembly specifications, safety rules and cleanroom protocols, and document process deviations and hold lots.

Required profile

• Nitec, Higher Nitec or Diploma in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related).
• 0-3 years of experience in semiconductor assembly, manufacturing or operations support.
• Familiarity with cleanroom operations and basic knowledge of NPI flows are an advantage.
• Willingness to work shift-based or extended hours when NPI execution requires.

Required skills

• Strong execution focus and ability to track multiple lots and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and coordination across teams and shifts.
• Comfortable with manufacturing systems and trackers such as SAP, dashboards and Excel.
