Technician (Quality Inspector)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney Singapore, part of RTX, is recruiting an onsite Technician (Quality Inspector) at its Component Repair facility in Seletar. The role covers visual and dimensional inspection of aircraft component parts and repairable parts, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and regulatory technical data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming and outgoing aircraft component parts.
• Inspect incoming, in-process and final repairable parts against documents and required repairs.
• Ensure parts are repaired according to prescribed standards and procedures.
• Work to manufacturer specifications on tolerances, limitations and procedures, and follow regulatory-approved technical data.
• Carry out SAP transactions and update works orders in SAP.
• Attend EHS training and take personal responsibility for safety compliance.
• Support continuous improvement programmes and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2 years of experience using inspection equipment and visual inspection aids, or no experience if eager to join the aerospace industry.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and SOPs.
• Commitment to night shift and overtime when needed.
• Meticulous, hands-on, self-motivated and able to work independently; good communicator and team player.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
• Preferred: aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience, and familiarity with airworthiness and regulatory agency requirements.
