Technician (Welder)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney Singapore Component Repair, part of RTX, is hiring an onsite Technician (Welder) at 61 Seletar Aerospace View. The role involves TIG welding to refurbish aircraft engine components and supporting cell operations in a precision aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding to refurbish aircraft engine components to meet quality standards.
• Support cell operations in benching, blasting, brazing, blending, polishing and cold working processes.
• Potential to be trained on operating new automation machines.
• Attend EHS training programs and take personal responsibility for safety adherence.
• Support continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.

Required profile

• GCE 'O' Level or NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Mechanical or a relevant discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience in TIG welding.
• Comfortable learning new welding methodologies.
• Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous, hands-on approach.
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts and overtime as needed.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with airworthiness and regulatory agency requirements.
• Aerospace, manufacturing or precision engineering experience.
• External welding training with certification.
