Test Solutions Engineer - SSD Testing

About the role

Micron Semiconductors' Test Solutions Engineering department is hiring an Engineer, Test Solutions. The role covers the niche testing methodology of memory devices using state-of-the-art testing platforms, working on SSD products in high-volume manufacturing and on new product validation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test programs for Micron SSD products in high-volume manufacturing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Design new test programs for validating and testing new SSD products and technologies during the start-up phase.
• Optimize test programs and test methodology to reduce product test times.
• Automate test engineering processes by writing software scripts to improve efficiency.
• Enhance test coverage to ensure best-in-class outgoing quality.
• Work with product and equipment engineering teams to improve product yields and equipment efficiency.
• Collaborate with test capacity and manufacturing teams to meet production output goals.
• Develop and monitor process and engineering metrics to ensure stability, efficiency and effectiveness of test processes.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work, and contribute to continuous improvement by testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or an engineering-related course.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills for test and manufacturing environments.
• Agility to manage and execute prioritized action items from tactical and strategic perspectives.
• Effective communicator who collaborates across all levels, with a growth mindset and interest in the semiconductor industry.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus; demonstrated leadership is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python programming, with enthusiasm for developing and improving code.
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git or similar engineering workflow tools.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts; exposure to AI-assisted engineering or productivity tools is an advantage.
