Trainee, Development Services - Purification

About the role

Lonza is recruiting a Trainee in Development Services - Purification for its Science Park Facility in Singapore. This is a fully site-based role within the Career Conversion Program (CCP), a 15-month on-the-job training period where structured training is delivered at the participating companies so that participants acquire the competencies needed for their job. It is a hands-on laboratory position focused on small-scale downstream purification of biologics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands-on laboratory work for small-scale downstream purification of biologics (mainly antibodies) following protocols and GMP standards.
• Set up and operate column and membrane chromatography (AKTA systems), ultrafiltration and dead-end filtration systems according to work procedures.
• Generate scientific data from experiments and contribute to customer projects.
• Record and review raw data to produce clean, inspection-ready process knowledge and data sets.
• Produce written reports and communicate during teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with internal and external customers.
• Work in a site and global project team, coordinating multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery.
• Facilitate communication between departments in Singapore and across the global Lonza network.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant science field or equivalent.
• Individuals without prior experience in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry may also apply.
