Transport Manager

About the role

The Transport Manager will lead a team of 50 drivers and oversee all transport operations for Cogent Holdings. This senior position is responsible for profit & loss, customer service, and the overall efficiency of the logistics hub.

Key responsibilities

• Manage profit & loss for the transport business unit.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including manpower and equipment deployment.
• Ensure compliance with customer KPIs, scope of work, and service standards.
• Plan and implement new business set‑ups or expansions.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
• Develop short‑ and long‑term strategies to capture new business leads.
• Handle customer inquiries and feedback promptly.
• Review and adjust pricing policies to stay competitive.
• Ensure all licences and permits are applied for and renewed in line with regulations.
• Prepare management reports and manage business risk and compliance.
• Lead training and motivation initiatives for the team.

Required profile

• Minimum a degree from a recognised university.
• At least 8 years of experience in transportation operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
