Transport Planner – Singapore

About the role

Arup is seeking a motivated Transport Planner to support its Singapore office and regional projects. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver transport planning studies, traffic impact assessments and modelling analyses for development and infrastructure initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct transport planning studies, macro‑ and microsimulation modelling, and future transport scenario analyses.
• Prepare and deliver traffic impact assessments (TIAs) using SIDRA, VISSIM and VISUM.
• Collaborate with engineers, urban planners and stakeholders to develop sustainable transportation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations and approval processes of the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).
• Represent the team in internal meetings, support bid preparation and help meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in transport planning, civil engineering, urban studies or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in transport planning and modelling within a consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore LTA and URA regulations and approval processes.
• Professional membership or eligibility for membership in a relevant institution is an advantage.

• Traffic impact assessment (TIA) and junction modelling.
• Macro‑ and microsimulation analysis.
• Knowledge of Singapore transport regulations and approval procedures.
