Transportation Analyst (1-Year Contract)

About the role

Caterpillar's Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is looking for a Transportation Analyst in Singapore to act as secondary lead for Transportation Operations. The role covers airfreight operations in Asia-Pacific, supplier invoicing and billing accuracy, and freight payable management. It is a one-year renewable contract, with five days of onsite work per week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational coverage and support to the primary lead for Transportation Operations
• Manage shipment exceptions for Asia-Pacific airfreight operations with internal teams and service providers
• Audit service provider invoices for billing accuracy and SOX compliance across air, ocean and trucking operations
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with service providers within agreed KPI timelines and maintain the discrepancy log
• Maintain the transportation rate repository and follow up on outstanding credit and debit notes
• Submit approved invoices to APSS and track invoicing and billing accuracy KPIs, leading root cause corrective actions
• Analyze supplier billing performance and lead LEAN projects to improve audits, reduce freight costs and shorten transit times
• Manage ADC Singapore freight payable, including month-end reporting, accruals, forecasting and trend analysis, and support spot-rate requests with Procurement

Required profile

• Experience in, or equivalent knowledge of, supply chain and logistics operations, including transportation, contracting and traffic management
• Strong analytical skills and communication with stakeholders at all levels
• Organized, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a collaborative team

Required skills

• Knowledge of analytical techniques and tools, with root cause analysis
• Power BI, Copilot and SAP are an advantage
