UI/UX Researcher & Designer for eLodgment System

About the role

The UI/UX Researcher & Designer will lead research and design for the STARS eLodgment System, a critical platform that digitises property transaction workflows in Singapore. You will translate complex legal and business processes into clear, trustworthy, and accessible digital experiences while collaborating with product, engineering, and domain experts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct user research (interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing, concept validation) and turn insights into interaction and service improvements.
• Facilitate workshops and co‑creation sessions with diverse stakeholders to build alignment on future experiences.
• Apply UX best practices to simplify journeys, ensure accessibility, and maintain consistency with Government Digital Service Standards.
• Design interaction patterns, information architecture, wireframes, and high‑fidelity prototypes for complex, rules‑driven workflows.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system for scalability across the eLodgment System and the wider STARS platform.
• Experiment with AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, prototyping, and ways of working.
• Mentor junior designers in research methods and interaction design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Design Research, Communication Design or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in UX research and product design, with a track record of shipping digital products that involve complex, rules‑driven workflows.
• Strong grounding in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and usability testing.
• Ability to work in ambiguous, regulated environments and to communicate findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma and FigJam.
• Experience using prototyping tools.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled research and design tools.
