Underwriter, Warranty Service Programs

About the role

AIG is looking for an Underwriter and Operational Lead for its Warranty Service Programs (WSP) team in Singapore. WSP is a small team specialising in B2B2C product solutions such as extended warranty, mobile device insurance and affinity/lifestyle products, distributed directly to clients as well as through agents and brokers. The role manages and develops a high-profile, profitable business with significant growth potential.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite and administer a growing, profitable portfolio of WSP business within AIG's agreed business plan and underwriting guidelines.
• Grow WSP business through partnership, agency and broker channels to meet top and bottom-line targets while maintaining client service levels.
• Support the Head of WSP in developing and implementing operational controls in WSP Singapore.
• Ensure programs are implemented in line with AIG policies and that financial bookings are correct and timely, with issues identified and fixed quickly.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, business partners and intermediaries through regular visits and engagement.
• Carry out any other assigned activities and projects.

Required profile

• Experience in consumer or commercial lines sales, business development or underwriting.
• Experience setting up and administering new programs, project management and delivery.
• Warranty or affinity/lifestyle products underwriting and product development experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Good communication, negotiation, presentation and analytical skills.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise.
• Outgoing, team player with a results-driven, customer-centric mindset.
