Verification & De-kitting Technician

About the role

The Verification & De-kitting Technician is responsible for safely dismantling decommissioned hardware, performing diagnostic testing, and validating system functionality. This position works with servers, networking equipment, and related components while strictly following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols and standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform organized, ESD‑compliant removal of hardware components such as line cards, optics, cables, and PDUs.
• Execute component‑level diagnostics and system‑level test scripts provided by the client.
• Capture diagnostic logs, assess pass/fail criteria, and document results in ProcureAnt or designated tools.
• Conduct failure analysis to identify defective or missing parts and support root‑cause documentation.
• Prepare functional and non‑functional items for repackaging, ensuring accurate tracking for final disposition.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• At least 2 years of experience testing computer hardware, servers, or networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of ESD safety protocols and component‑level handling.
• Ability to follow structured QA checklists and visual reference guides (Redbook).
