Vice President, Marine

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Vice President, Marine to join its risk business, based in Singapore. The role acts as a trusted advisor to shipowner clients across Asia, helping them understand their risk strategies and receive effective marine insurance solutions. It is a hybrid position with at least three days a week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Act as lead advisory colleague to shipowners of various sizes, including some of the largest fleets in Asia.
• Understand clients' business priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and advise accordingly.
• Use risk expertise and knowledge of the industry and insurance market to review exposures and loss experience and develop solutions.
• Execute renewal and placement strategies in line with client instructions.
• Build and maintain client relationships and be the primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs.
• Assist in mentoring and training more junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Degree in any discipline.
• At least 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
• Relevant specialty experience in marine hull and P&I is preferred.
• Minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent; ANZIIF or ACII is an advantage.
