Vice President, Product Controller – Treasury

About the role

Nomura is seeking a Vice President to lead product control for its Treasury function in Singapore. The role oversees P&L, balance sheet and legal entity control for Treasury and Corporate books, ensuring accurate revenue attribution and compliance with regulatory metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily and monthly P&L integrity for Treasury, providing senior review and sign‑off on funding spread, interest rate risk, FX translation and liquidity premium.
• Manage balance sheet movements across regional entities, maintain sources and uses of funds, and act as escalation point to the Funding Desk Head.
• Support book management processes, including opening/closing, dormancy reviews and trading‑book classification, while ensuring proper governance documentation.
• Partner with Treasury Desk Heads to optimise funding costs, enhance reporting analytics and design Unsecured Funding metrics for senior stakeholders.
• Develop and mentor a team of finance professionals on‑shore and offshore, fostering continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Accounting, Economics or related field.
• At least 8 years of product control experience supporting Treasury or Fixed Income, including 3 years of people‑management experience.
• Extensive experience with treasury and money‑market products such as repos, deposits, FX swaps and interest‑rate derivatives.
• Strong understanding of accounting ledger entries, hedge accounting and hedge effectiveness.
