Vice President, Product Development

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Vice President of Product Development to join our leadership team in Singapore. The role will drive the technical roadmap, champion regional engineering excellence, and establish a state‑of‑the‑art technical laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the product development strategy, operating model, investment priorities, safety governance and capability roadmap, including the setup of the Singapore technical laboratory.
• Lead advanced engineering evaluation, product prototyping, validation strategy and testing lifecycles to improve cycle time, technical confidence and compliance with industry benchmarks.
• Coordinate cross‑border technical governance with overseas manufacturing facilities, laboratories and OEM/ODM partners to enhance supplier performance and readiness for regional growth.
• Establish testing methodologies, quality controls, failure‑analysis governance and technical standards supporting global intelligent interconnect and precision manufacturing priorities.
• Build and lead local laboratory engineering teams while influencing headquarters, business units, manufacturing sites, customers and senior stakeholders on regional technical priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior or VP‑level accountability for strategy, engineering validation, product testing, quality governance or precision hardware operations.
• Proven leadership in precision manufacturing, PCB/FPC, optical modules, advanced hardware or testing and certification environments.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin.
