Vice President, Real Estate, AIBD

About the role

MUFG Bank, which provides financing to institutional real estate clients across Asia Pacific such as listed corporates, private equity sponsors, REITs, developers and fund managers, is looking for an experienced real estate finance professional based in Singapore. The role supports the execution and management of complex structured financing transactions (over A$100m) across Asia Pacific, working closely with the Head of Real Estate, APAC and other Real Estate members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of non-recourse and structured financings, from initial due diligence and financial modelling to credit papers, documentation and satisfaction of conditions precedent
• Prepare marketing/pitch and credit proposals, customer deliverables and reports for APAC management
• Coordinate with product partners and the credit department to achieve financial close
• Support the Head of Real Estate, APAC and senior team members as needed
• Guide and supervise junior AIBD members, and contribute to the team's financial and budgetary objectives

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate banking, investment banking, real estate finance, project finance, advisory, accounting or consulting
• At least 4 years of direct experience in real estate financing
• Bachelor's degree
• End-to-end experience managing complex real estate financing transactions through financial close
• Experience across multiple Asia Pacific jurisdictions
• Prior people management experience is advantageous but not essential
