Vice President, Technical Lead (M365 / SharePoint)

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is looking for a Vice President, Technical Lead for its Information Technology Department's Asian Systems Office, which runs a regional team responsible for M365 / SharePoint development. The role is central to delivering high-quality, timely system development and taking part in proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design of solutions based on standardisation, security and resilience, and prepare technical specifications from functional requirements
• Support project managers, business analysts and developers/testers; help prepare and run SIT and UAT plans, and manage outstanding defects and change requests
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, and assist in moving systems from development to production
• Take part in quality reviews and ensure deliverables meet MUFG IT standards and governance
• Monitor system performance and usage, apply security patches, manage end-of-life hardware and software, and plan upgrades and new technologies
• Liaise with internal teams and vendors to investigate incidents, find root causes and implement fixes
• Plan the application roadmap for digital engineering, secure funding and projects, and share success stories

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of technical experience in software and application development in the financial industry
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Experience in SDLC and exposure to Agile methodology
• Ability to work with cross-functional and offshore teams, and strong communication and negotiation skills

Required skills

• Proven experience with Copilot Dev-Ex or other AI coding technologies
• Demonstrated experience with Java/J2EE, React, Oracle DB, SQL, Unix/Linux, IBM WAS, DB2, MQ and IIB
• Knowledge of the above stack is an advantage
