VP Private Banker - Southeast Asia Coverage (Indonesia)

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Vice President Private Banker to focus on the Indonesia market. The role is about establishing and nurturing profitable partnerships with corporate and individual clients, acting as the bridge between the bank's offerings and clients' needs. The position is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS); candidates may be asked to complete regulatory examinations to meet licensing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships, identifying financial goals, challenges and risk tolerance, and analyse data from investment portfolios and cash flows to spot trends and opportunities.
• Research industry trends, the regulatory landscape and the competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
• Design customised solutions drawing on the bank's products and services, and negotiate terms that benefit both client and bank.
• Provide investment advice, risk management and wealth management guidance, and keep clients informed on market trends.
• Assess financial, legal and operational risks and document all client interactions, transactions and agreements.
• Monitor client satisfaction, revenue and other metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management.
• Contribute to strategy, plan resources and budgets, manage policies and processes, and advise stakeholders and senior management.

Required profile

• Fluent in Indonesian to communicate with Indonesian clients.
• An existing network in the Indonesia market for business development and an understanding of clients' investment needs so as to act as a trusted advisor.
• An existing network of Indonesia private bank clients to develop further.
• Legal right to work in Singapore; applicants holding a Barclays-sponsored visa or requiring sponsorship must declare this.
