VP, Product Manager - Transaction Banking Products (Asia)

About the role

MUFG is looking for a highly experienced Vice President, Product Manager for Transaction Banking Products to lead digital and analytics initiatives within its APAC portfolio. The role drives data and AI-powered solutions that improve product capabilities, operational efficiency and customer experience in cash management and trade finance, and leads the transformation of traditional transaction banking processes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for digital and analytics solutions, prioritising features by business impact, customer needs and technical feasibility.
• Identify and implement AI use cases, including generative AI for management reporting, client insights, predictive analytics, workflow automation and decision support.
• Design and deliver executive MIS dashboards and KPI frameworks with automated reporting.
• Support platform transformation, manage new feature delivery and integration projects, and ensure existing digital products run smoothly.
• Own the strategy, design and lifecycle of APIs and digital platforms for payments, reporting integrations and customer experience.
• Lead regional APAC initiatives with stakeholders and work with business units, technology, compliance, risk and operations in a matrix environment.
• Mentor junior team members, advocate for resources and initiatives, and monitor digital trade, fintech, AI and regulatory trends.

Required profile

• 8+ years in product management within Transaction Banking, with at least 5 years focused on data analytics and AI initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in data management, reporting and analysis, including statistical techniques such as forecasting or predictive modelling.
• Deep expertise in Transaction Banking products, with working-level exposure to Cash and Trade Finance advantageous.
• Experience building databases with modern architectures (data lakes or warehouses) and managing API lifecycles.
• Preferred: certifications such as PMP, CSPO or data/AI credentials, and experience in regional APAC or global banking environments.
